Kelly joined the HHC staff in 2022 and serves as the Special Events Coordinator.
Kelly earned her Bachelor’s degree in History from Gannon University in 2013. She first began at the History Center as the educational intern from 2009 to 2013. She then went on to work at a local advertising agency helping plan several large-scale, award-winning events and productions in the Erie community.
In 2017, She earned her Master’s degree in curriculum and instruction and teaching certification. She then went on to work as a high school American history teacher in Pittsburgh, PA. While there, she developed and advised a student council club, achieving several student-driven fundraisers.
Most recently, Kelly and her family moved back to their hometown of Erie. She is currently a stay-at-home mom to her two amazing children. In her spare time, she owns and operates an Etsy shop that specializes in hand-lettered wood signs. Kelly is excited to combine her versatile skills in teaching history, event planning, and design at the Hagen History Center.
