Jeanne has worked at ECHS for 20 years in positions of Secretary, managing the Gift Shop, assisting with exhibits, membership, welcome desk, Newsletter Editor, and now Archival assistant. Responsibilities as Archival Assistant include archival accessions, recording and transcribing meeting minutes, assisting with assignments and projects when needed.
Jeanne graduated from Mercyhurst Preparatory School with an academic and commercial diploma, and Mercyhurst University with a BS in Education, taking additional special education, computer, clerical and office courses.
Jeanne has worked as a teacher for Adult Basic Education at the Barber International Institute, substitute teacher in Millcreek and Erie school districts and 20 years in the Diocese of Erie at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School.
Volunteer positions included American Heart Association; Parish Choir, Building Committee, Festival, and Adult Education; North East Banjo Band; Founding Member of Stardust Ballroom Dance Club.
Jeanne is excited about the expansion, new venues, programs and exhibits at the Hagen History Center, and loving the people she works with. It is a bonus to be able to help all with whatever is needed!
Mother of 6 children, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren with whom she spends as much time as possible. Married to Philip Kidder and lives in North East, PA.
