Sara joined the ECHS staff as an Administrative Assistant in August 2019.
Sara has dynamic work experience in management, retail, customer relations and food service. Spending nearly 18 years at Waldameer Park, she worked in multiple departments and as Manager of the Midway Games and Arcade areas.
Sara attributes her work ethic to her parents and grandparents who showed her that hard work and efforts lead to a fruitful commitment to self and community.
Most recently, Sara was a Program Director for the YMCA of Greater Erie. She facilitated the management of an after-school program at Pfeiffer Burleigh Elementary School and developed programming that engaged students in enrichment exploration and creativity. Furthering her community involvement, Sara has also reconnected her ties to the Footlights Theatre Program. This is a free community theatre program for Erie students in which she participated as a student. Sara is the current Community Relations Director.
Sara has been dancing for more than 30 years and teaching dance for nearly half that time. She currently teaches Tap Dance at the Little Dance Studio and serves on the board of the Erie Dance Consortium.
Sara likes to road trip to places near and far, seeking forgotten beaches, old forests, and communities rich in cultural heritage and history.
