Description:
Bronze Ming Dynasty ceremonial box with Teakwood cover and white jade bird on top. Rectangular opening in the bottom of the box. Piece which fits in the opening is still intact. Exterior of the box is ornamented with designs.
VE Exhibit Label 1:
In 1941, Dr. Schlendwein of Erie presented a group of bronze artifacts for future use in the "new" Erie Public Museum made possible by the family of Mr. F.F. Curtze that same year.
