Advanced reservations will be required for conducting research at HHC Library and Archive. An appointment can be made by calling 814-454-1813 Ext. 28.

An appointment for family history research through the Erie Society for Genealogical Research can be made by calling  814-454-1813 Ext. 29.

Health and Safety Policies for Guests & Staff until after COVID heath concerns have passed.

Guests:

  • Visitors must practice social distancing of six feet while on the campus.
  • Visitors are required to wear face coverings upon entering our campus. Anyone not willing to wear a mask for the safety of others will be asked to leave.
  • Temperature checks using a no-touch thermometer will be required. Any guest with a temp of 100^ or more will not be admitted.
  • Visitors who are COVID-19 symptomatic/positive or do not feel well should not enter the campus.
  • All tours will be self-guided with docents available to answer questions.
  • Any group tours or request for guided tours must be arranged in advance by calling 814-454-1813 Ext. 33.
  • Plexiglass shields are installed at areas of frequent contact between staff and visitors alike, including the Gift Shop/Admissions and Library

All staff are required to:

  • Perform a daily COVID-19 symptoms assessment and report to work only if symptom free.
  • Staff are required to wear face coverings while in contact with other staff, volunteers, and visitors.
  • Wash hands frequently and use hand sanitizer.
  • Maintain an appropriate social distance of at least six feet.

Sanitation Procedures:

Hagen History Center is implementing extensive sanitation measures, including:

  • Providing hand sanitizing stations for visitors and staff at various locations throughout our buildings.
  • Regular cleaning and sanitation throughout each day of high-touch points (door handles, countertops, etc.).
  • Thorough cleaning of restrooms throughout each day.
  • Deeper cleanings and sanitization during non-operating hours.
