After the big dinner on Thanksgiving.
After Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday.
After all the shopping, it time to support your favorite nonprofit on Giving Tuesday.
On or before Tuesday, November 30, you can donate to Hagen History Center as part of this global giving day which encourages people to do good or their community.
Like Erie Gives, this is a day to remind us to support an organization that makes our community a better place to live.
Hagen History Center’s 2021 Giving Tuesday Campaign is raising funds for internet access for our Erie and Girard campuses for the local communities.
Hagen History Center was recently awarded a $22,358 grant as part of the American Rescue Plan for wireless internet access and picnic tables.
This means that area residents, neighborhood school students, and the community would be able to use our campuses to access the internet.
But the grant only covers half the costs of this project. Help us raise the additional $22,358 needed to make this a reality.
Free public internet access will positively impact the neighborhoods around HHC in Erie which historically has been one of the city’s poorest with over 24% of families living below the poverty level. In Girard, 14.8 % of individuals live below the poverty level.
You can choose to make a gift online or mail a check to the Erie County Historical Society, 356 West 6th Street, Erie PA 16507. Please note on your gift “Internet”
Thank you for your support.
