The Barristers Battled and ECHS Won

Friday Mar 29th, 2019

Room 33 was a busy spot on Thursday, February 21, with the Battle of the Barristers for the Erie County Historical Society.

This celebrity bartending event pitted local lawyers against each other in a friendly competition to raise the most donations for
ECHS.

Bartending celebrities included ECHS Board President Randy Shapira, Ed Smith, Mayor Joe Sinnott, Erin Connelly, Beth Hirz, Jack Quinn, Pete Sala, Rebeka Seelinger, Grant Yochim, Bill Helbling, Matt Lager, Eric Purchase and Craig Murphey.

Because of their generosity, the generosity of those in attendance, and the generosity of Room 33, ECHS raised $2,700 during this 3-hour event.

Several bartenders raised over $200 each. And the law team of Eric Purchase and Craig Murphey won bragging rights for one year with their total of $433.50 raised. This was the highest total raised by one law firm.

Vickie Lampe won the set of WeatherTech front and back floor mats which were donated by Fabin’s Trailer and Truck Accessories. Diane Morosky won the 50/50, and she generously donated her winnings back to ECHS. A big thank you to our many donors and sponsors of this event.
